I have a Bachelor degree in Computer Eng.(with 5 years of managerial experience in IT sector) and I am pursuing MBA. My Question is Do I really need Concentration? Or with general MBA (taking what course is interesting to me) I have the same opportunity like others in finding job. For claiming a specific concentration I have to take only 4 courses. My school carries 6 concentrations (strategic management, Operation management, supply chain management, finance, accounting and human resources) and does not have a IT management concentration. But, I don't want to change my career path (from IT to - for example finance or accounting) do I really need to have any concentration attached to my MBA?What Human resources people do with this kind of resume? Here’s an example of what a proposal might look like: I am an environmentally-conscious consumer living in a very agricultural state. As such I am concerned about the environmental impact of how the food I purchase is produced, since I want agriculture and food production to be environmentally healthy and sustainable. Commercial meat production in specific poses many environmental problems, including heavy concentration of the same species, both in feedlots and in the fields used to grow the grain to feed the animals, management of the waste produced by the animals, and the intensification of toxins up the food chain. For these reasons, current commercial meat production is damaging to our environment and our food supply, and cannot be sustained in the long-run. If environmentally-conscious consumers reduced our consumption of meat, the decreased demand would send a message to commercial meat producers that we disapprove of their dangerous disregard for environmental health and safety, and likely lead to a change in these practices. Resolved Question: Project manager needs help handling arrogance in the team.?

I recently got assigned to an existing supply chain management project consisting of highly technical IT team. The team is arrogant. I can see many things not in place in the project. For example no proper documentation (teamlead does not want to document, it is all in the head), no good production support (no proper attention to on call pager, developers have access to production servers), no communication protocol (servers are brought down at will, migrations are done at will). The application users (external vendors) are complaining. I am answerable to the users. I actually became infamous in the team for bringing this to table, to the extent that the teamlead came up to me and asked me to backoff and I would not get support from him or his team. My supervisor, who is nontechnical, is very buddy with the teamlead and perfers to support him. How can I save myself in this situation ? How can I still bring some improvements in the team ? more
